Kayla Lovejoy – Featured Artist for 2023/2024

MEPSA’s featured artist, Kayla Lovejoy, is a career horse woman, motorcycle enthusiast and artist. Born and raised in Maine, she was in the saddle – and showing on a Quarter Horse named CJ – at the age of five.

While trials motorcycles are taking up a lot of her passion time at the moment, some day Kayla would like to train a BLM mustang, having witnessed and been inspired by Extreme Mustang Makeover.

Kayla works with all sizes of models, but Stablemates remain her favorite. Her mediums include acrylics, pastels and sculpting apoxie when she’s working on a horse, and watercolors, acrylics and a camera when she’s doing two dimensional art.

She has a keen sense of balance, probably developed on her beloved CJ and honed over hundreds of horses she has schooled, and that balance is part of what makes her a competitive trials motorcycle rider. The other part is her willingness to challenge herself and push her own limits…in riding, in life, and in her art. Thank you Kayla for being a part of MEPSA!

The Custom Breyer Theo below was Kayla’s donation to MEPSA. Thank you, Kayla!
